The Orange Wheelbarrow

Living life as a beautiful artform is my highest aspiration . . . Che'usa

Me Musing . . . March 8, 2010 . . .

I may not have explained my YoGi (Kimono Duvet) very well in the last post as I got a lot of emails asking me to model it. It isn't a Kimono you wear, but a duvet/quilt in the two-dimensional design of a Kimono. So . . . this is the only way for me to model it:

It is difficult to see in this photo the 'kimono sleeves' at the top of the duvet which are wider than the rest of the 'kimono body'. . . but I hope you get the gist of it! (Think T-shape)

From my friend Iona I got this wonderful quote . . .

"There are few ills
that being
shampooed by moonlight
can't cure"

~ National Geographic Traveler

I smiled as I have this slate sign in my Creative Space . . .

I guess working on my YoGi has brought kimono fabric to my attention just now. I ordered a few pieces and a lovely Japanese lady in Oregon sent along small squares of other pieces also. I didn't want them to go to waste, so just for fun, I sewed them onto a scarf.

Remember all the orange and green fabric on my Big tables??????
Well, this afternoon I started pressing them as I thought I would use them for the Bowl Room duvet cover. I just love this portable drying rack I found here at the Etna Hardware.

And as I separated the greens from the oranges, I began to wonder if really they were for two different duvet covers!

Hmmmmmmm . . . guess this calls for laying down in my 'Musing Chair', snuggled under my YoGi . . .

Until soon,

Che'usa
