The Orange Wheelbarrow

Living life as a beautiful artform is my highest aspiration . . . Che'usa

Me Musing . . . March 10, 2010 . . .

It sure is nice being able to have my fabrics out where I can look at them!

This afternoon while moving things around in the linen closet, I came upon a hand-painted rectangle shawl I bought in Hilo, Hawaii in 1996.
I had worn it a few times over the years, but it never really had a special place to shine . . .

When I layed it out on the table I realized it was the perfect width for the duvet cover I wanted to make for the Bowl room . . . all I had to do for the length was to add a piece of the teal Gees Bend fabric I had left over from the first duvet cover I made!

I matched the shawl up with some hand-painted looking fabric I had bought at the Mill End store in Portland a few years ago. It too had never found it's special use . . .

It looks a little mint green in this photo,
but is really more vibrant yellow-green

It didn't take long to zip the seams around as the two pieces were almost the exact same size!

All done . . .

Until soon,

Che'usa
