The Orange Wheelbarrow

Me Musing . . . August 28, 2007 . . .

Since posting my last Musing, I have heard from quite a few friends who said the story of my Circle of Stones motivated them to begin thinking about their own family history/ancestors and ways they might honour their own memories in some sort of 'ceremony'.

Iona, my artist friend in Virginia Beach, Virginia wrote that reading about my Circle of Stones gave her the incentive to 're-vitalize' her own circle of stones! She also wrote in her email that it re-minded her that this year we would be experiencing many planets in re-trograde.

This began a series of spontaneously written emails between us, as if time and space were of no-thing.

I wrote her saying her email re-minded me that a few months ago, an astrologer friend looked at my chart and said that at the time I was born, there were 5 planets in re-trograde. I re-member at the time that it gave me a clue into something I had found interesting for years: whenever people would 'wig' out and 'go on hold' when Mercury went re-trograde, I would just roll my eyes, as I couldn't figure out what the big deal was . . . just get on with life!

It made sense, having found out that little piece of information, that 're-trograde' was a common-place event for me!

As we emailed back and forth it became evident to both of us that 're' was in a lot of words we used! So I looked it up in the dictionary and found: re: returning to a previous state; again, anew.

I began paying more attention to words in emails, conversations and books, and in the space of just a few days, these 're' words came up:

re-storation
re-signation
re-cognition
re-member
re-cycle
re-lated
re-lationship
re-ality
re-ligion
re-ceive
re-alize
re-solve
re-fresh
re-boot
re-joice
re-collect
re-spond
re-call
re-create
re-juvenate

And I smiled as Iona had written at the bottom of her last email:

Re-establishing re-lationship with re-joicing!

Great idea!

I also re-alized that I was having some interesting feelings about my upcoming trip to Ohio (scheduled Sept. 29-Oct 16). I couldn't quite put a finger on what it was exactly, but decided I would pay more attention to those feelings.

I re-called that at least once a week for the past 4 months, stations have had a segment on all the the travel delays, flight cancellations and frustrated airline travelers . . . saying 'flying the friendly skies' wasn't so friendly anymore. Trips of only 4 hours could last up to 26 hours . . . yikes!

That brought to mind the feeling I had when first I booked the flights, some having only 45 minutes between connections. At the time I questioned the agent about it . . . if it would be enough time. She said it was what the airline determined as an 'acceptable transfer time'.

I kept 'watching' information that was coming my way and my 'sensings' about it.

This morning I awoke and thought, 'I don't know why; however, I feel I need to cancel my Ohio trip just now.' So I did.

I have no idea what that is about; however, I am just trusting that it is best to do just now.

I had made the re-servations using airmiles, so I don't lose anything and have until June, 2008 to complete the trip.

For now, I will just continue to re-spond to what I am feeling most appropriate for me as each day unfolds.

Until soon,

Che'usa
