About me . . .

Born to amazingly artistic parents who provided an atmosphere of ‘Bricolage’
(a French word meaning . . . to take the ordinary, every-day items at hand and transform them into the extra-ordinary), I never considered myself an ‘artist’ as drawing was not one of my 'Gifts'. . . and actually I never had the desire to develop that skill.

However, those years of growing up in an environment of moment-to-moment creativity serves as a wellspring from which my 'living creatively' continues to flow.

For me, creativity is not just 'doing art' . . . it relates to all aspects of our lives . . . such as ease of thinking, intuition, seeing new perspectives, self-expression, problem solving, idea-sequencing . . . and if you let it . . . just plain fun!

Considering myself more a 'creative' than ‘artist’ or 'designer', wherever I have lived throughout these United States, I have transformed my living space into ‘a creative space’. That way, no room is 'labeled' for only one type of activity.

Until a few years ago when I carved out sufficient space for a 'workshop' area to be a part of my home . . .

I would set up my supplies in the kitchen and work late into the night . . . perhaps from early training in our family of sitting at the kitchen table and doing all kinds of projects together . . . like family Christmas cards!

My home decorating, design, artwork and now my sewing are most closely related to 'The Art of Synesthesia' . . . when a colour/symbol/design/sound evokes an ancient memory or distant dream or other type of sensory experience.

My home is a Sanctuary of Silence and Sound, Colour and Space . . . a way of life that suits me well.

We are now walking
in the footprints
of our Soul . . .

The echo of the Ancient Future
ringing in our heart,
guiding us onward!
