The Orange Wheelbarrow

Me Musing . . . December 15, 2008 . . .

This is our first 'real' snow . . . only about 3 inches total (half yesterday and half last night), but nice and white and still. Nothing like the 22 inches we had at one shot last year, but am sure we are in for more.

I spent most of the afternoon yesterday re-arranging the Studio. Why does that not surprise anyone???? I seem to have done that quite a few times this past year as the mood would strike!

I usually seem to do most of my 'get ready' work in the kitchen as I can put big pieces of formica on the table and create a long workspace.

There is a skylight overhead
which is nice while working in the daytime . . .
and sometimes at night the moon shines in!

I decided yesterday that I would like to move my table-top racks together (again!!) in the studio and create a larger workspace so I am not running back and forth between cutting out fabric in kitchen and sewing in the Studio.

The table-top racks are great for storing supplies
while giving me a work surface.
I can also put the formica sheets on top
to expand the surface.
(Snow can be seen out the window!)

Plus . . . since the Studio is 'L' shaped, by placing my work stations in the long part, it gave me room for a 'quiet' space in the 'L' part!

The chair is an 'anti-gravity' chair
that is wonderful for laying back in . . .
raises your feet at an angle that just
relaxes every part of your body!

I made a wool pad and covered it
with the same soft organic cotton
that I made a top out of last week.

The same pattern as the Teal print cotton.
It is sooooooo soft and snuggly!

In winter, the TV is on more than usual, so now I can come into the Studio, close the door, put on my music and work . . . or . . . sit and 'muse' about what is next!!!

Until soon,
