From over the Hill
. . .

December 1, 2011

A quick note and GREAT idea from Joan Lighthill for a simple and fun gift idea. (And since you will be at the Library Open House/Book Signing this Saturday, Dec. 3rd, between 5:00 - 7:00 pm, take a peek and see what you find):

"Hi Che'usa, Another thing I thought about for "local" Christmas buying: The conference room at the library always has books for sale. $1.00 for hardbacks and 25 cents for paperbacks. Most are in good condition. So, if you have a friend or relative who reads non-stop (like me) get him/her a bunch of books. Stack them and tie with a big bow . . . the Library will benefit too!"

This afternoon I wandered up to old Aetna to visit with Gordon Thomas, Flint Knapper. Very fascinating and fun . . .

Gordon also teaches a class in Flint Knapping . . . just gather a few interested people and give Gordon a call to find out more.
