From over the Hill . . .
November
27, 2011
On
this overcast Sunday-after-Thanksgiving, I thought I would wander
over one street to pay a visit to my friend Joan French . . .

and
her 'Glorified Gourds'. . .
on
the table was this beauty . . .
hard to believe
it is a gourd!

complete with
stuffing
Being
a 'Creative
Expressionist' I
always like to see where others do their
creative work . . .
here
are some of the gourds Joan works with

they come in all sizes . . .
and
here is where 'the magic happens' . . .

this is a 'work in progress'

You can find Joan's 'Glorified Gourds' at the Marble
Rim Gallery at 11835 Main Street in Ft. Jones (468-5442).
The Gallery is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
through Christmas (after the Holidays
they go back to their usual Tuesday-Saturday hours) and
is a great place to find proof that
'nurturing innate creativity'
is alive and well in our Valley!
In
joy!
