Me Musing .
. . July
15, 2008 . . .
Last night
I got the urge to make new window fabric panels in my sewing room
(that screen it from part of the living room). The others were gauzy
and sheer. I had lots of that green fabric that I took to Eugene
and used for samples of the heat press transfer, so spent some time
pinning them onto the panels.
That, of course,
led to re-arranging the sewing room, trying to make more space as
time is getting close to when Eb's (late
1960's) exchange student from Spain would be visiting with
his wife and daughter. I decided that would be the best place for
their daughter to sleep and have some privacy, so this morning I
set about moving, dusting and sorting things.
By the time
Eb got up I had 3 rooms looking like a cyclone hit them!
And what was
a hoot was . . . about 2 hours into the project, the phone rang
and it was Emilio calling from Spain! I must have stirred up some
kind of energy from here in Cheeseville all the way to Alicante,
Spain! (What is it they say . . .
a butterfly fluttering its wings here can cause a tsunami in Japan????
Glad I only stirred up a phone call !!!!!!)
It took most
of the day but am very pleased with how the room now has 'more room'!
And it will be a simple thing to move the sewing table out and install
a mattress.

(Note the great
2 x 4 up near the light!!!
Can you believe it came from the lumber yard that way???)
Once I got
the room arranged, then I began hand stitching the samples onto
the fabric panels. Decided to just sew them at the corners in case
one day I wanted to use them for something else.

(These were
the ones done on organza)
(These were
the ones done on the same green as the fabric panel . . .
with a few white ones thrown in!)
I
am making this update short and sweet as all that work left me a
little tired!!!!!!!!!
Until
soon,
