What
an Adventure THIS has been!
I grew up with two brothers.

Jeffrey
Alan, Philip Kirby and Darri Lyn Stoner
(at Niagra Falls, 1955)
My parents,
William Richard Stoner and Phyllis Mary Latham Stoner
both came from small families.

(1941)

(1980)
Daddy had one sister who had two daughters
and Mother had one brother who had two sons.
My maternal grandparents, Ivan L. Latham and Anna Reeb Hess Latham
were
a big part of my life,

(Getting
away from an Ohio winter
by visiting friends in Winter Park, Florida 1953)
So I always thought these few people were ALL the family I had!
What an amazing number of ancestors two people
in the Keskastel, Bas-Rhin region of France (at one time, Germany) created
for me!
Not to mention the productive Geary/Latham and Hess people.
The Stoners seemed to be more conservative!
Two years ago when I began researching my genealogy
with the encouragement of my dear friend Thelma,
I didn't get very far.
In March of this year (2007),
I awoke one morning with the thought
of the France/Germany border of
what we always called the Alsace Lorraine region on my mind,
so I decided to begin again . . .
and it was like the whole world opened before me!
In the past month I have gathered an incredible amount of information
and photos
from new family
and friends
that are assembled here to share with you.

you list below!)
More will be added/adjusted/corrected as time goes on.
Thanks for spending time in my 'New World of Family'!
