Me Musing .
. . June
18, 2009 . . .
Another
busy day.
Last
night I started making a list of 'supplies' we would need for the
Art/Sewing/Surface Design Studio in the old red barn and by the
time I got up this morning Eb had already been 'out shopping' at
our neighbor's place that houses many treasures! He said, "I
found you a double sink for the Studio"!
I
had to laugh as I got an email last night from my friend Arianha
in Sedona, Arizona who had just moved into a remodeled horse barn
and she said all she had to do was think of something that would
be nice to have and before she knew it, someone called or stopped
by and said, "I have _______ and wondered if you could use
it?" . . . and it was exactly
what she had thought about!
I quickly dressed as he said we needed to take over the Orange Wheelbarrow
to load it into for transport. So off we went next door. Well .
. . by the time we finished 'shopping' we had quite a load:
~
the double sink
~ antique typewriter (not something I needed but it was very cool!)
~ 3 ft. long drinking fountain with 3 spigots from the local junior
high that we thought would be fun to have in the yard. I remember
as a child when Daddy put us in a little drinking fountain that
we could use while we were out playing!
~ assorted refrigerator drawers that will be perfect for soaking
things
Then
we 'took a sit' to visit and the fun really
began! I told them what else was on my list and before I knew it,
I had an old claw-foot bathtub that needs to be cleaned up, but
should work perfectly.

A
local family's antique refrigerator made by General Electric that
we think will still run (although I am sure it is not efficient)!

The round thing
on top is the cooling unit
If
nothing else, it will be a converation piece!
I
had shown them a picture I had cut out of a magazine years ago of
a great idea for a bathroom sink and what do you suppose they had,
but a BIG piece of cactus that will be perfect for the base!

This base looks
to be wood,
but my new cactus piece will be perfect
For
some 'yard art' I got an old orchard 'smudge pot'.

We
decided we'd better stop at that and head home!
Later
we went into town to measure the outside of the old red barn and
take a photo of the front, as none of the photos I took yesterday
showed that the old red barn was red!

Then
we stopped by to find out what the street number of the old red
barn will be. It is 316.
316
= 10 and I began to laugh as I had always heard that 10 is
a 'God Number' . . .
now
why is that not surprising!!!!!!
Until
soon,
Che'usa
