Well this will
be the last post on The Alley Workshop project . . . now known as
'The Bridge to Nowhere'.
With all the
rain we have had the last few days, what began as a little damp
spot on the Workshop concrete floor, yesterday became a pathway
for runoff water from the neighbor's field.
Sooooooo I
spent a few hours until dusk late yesterday afternoon digging trenches
to divert the water into the barnlot.
I'm sure with
a lot of hours and gobs of money, the problem could be solved, but
that isn't in the cards for us. Thankfully we discovered it in time
to move the bundles of waiting insulation up off the floor.
What was to
be my Alley Workshop will continue on as 'just a garage out back'
. . . and I'll be sewing in the breakfast room for a loooooong time
me thinks.
Perhaps
Grandma was right . . . one day I will be able to look back and
say . . . THAT was the BEST
WORST THING that happened"!!!!!!
It's
been fun, but . . . that's all she wrote . . .
