The Orange Wheelbarrow

Me Musing . . . September 29, 2007 . . .

Things are 'a movin' around here . . .

A few days ago I got an email from my friend Janet who has been working on a studio for herself and she mentioned that she had been looking for a chandelier for it! I thought that a very novel idea and it caused me to look again into the rooms here and see what I could do to make them more suited for creativity. Some will laugh at that, as they say our home here IS 'creativity personified'!

That same afternoon, another friend came to visit and we were standing in the living room talking and I happened to look out into 'the Bowl Room' and the way the sun was coming in, a bolt of 'wowie' went through me and I said, "I have been wanting to get back to sewing again, but just haven't gotten pizazzzzzzzed enough to do it; however, seeing the way the sun shines there, I think it would make THE PERFECT studio area"!

Soooooooooooo . . . I spent the next two days moving things around again! The guest room ~ turned sewing room ~ turned massage and quietude room has now become 'The Bowl Room' . . .

and the original Bowl Room is now
the massage/quietude/sewing/creativity studio!

(I need to take another photo when the morning sun flows in!)

It is amazing how different the Bowls sound in this 'new to them' room. I barely have to play them at all . . . their sounds must just be humming happily in their new place as they just sing all by themselves!
I can hardly wait to try out a 'Bowl session' in their new space.

And, by having the studio in the 'built-on' area of the house, I can walk right out to the deck, which we built a few years ago from lumber harvested here on the land; however, we have not used it much, preferring to sit in the grassy area.

I can see it now . . . the deck will, by Spring, become a deck-garden and an extension of the studio area for summer projects. So my 'Garden Guru Bev' will be busy with ideas for that also in the months to come. She has already been helping me plan and re-do a few of the little garden areas near the front entrance.

Everything seems to be in the re-tune, re-novate, re-vitalize, re-work mode just now!!

Never a dull moment around here!

Until soon,
